If you like Margaux that still have those characteristics that made Margaux so beloved by wine lovers – elegance, finesse, smoothness and that ethereal violet scent – then you'll love Château Giscours. Over 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, married with 32% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, aged 15-18 months (depending on the year) in 50% new French oak barrels, vinified under the expert eye of the consultant Denis Dubourdieu (1949-2016), who here showed that he was not only good at whites. One of the few Médoc red wines of this level of quality, which can be consumed young, but also aged for twenty years.
