Origin: Bordeaux, Saint Emilion, France
Category: AOC Saint Emilion
Variety: Cabernet Franc, Merlot
Features: Famous for the quality of its wines from the 10th century, Saint-Emilion is one of the oldest and most recognized wineries in France. The characteristic elegance and complexity of the wines produced there is due to the clay and limestone soils of the name: limestone offers elegance, structure and minerality while clay brings depth, wealth and generosity. Personally selected by Christian and Edouard Moueix, Jean-Pierre Moueix, Saint Emilion consists mainly of Merlot with Cabernet Franc touches. The wine is mixed and aged in the historic Quai du Priourat cellars in Libourne, benefiting from all the care and know-how of the Jean-Pierre Moueix technical teams.
Tasting: With a bright red color, Jean-Pierre Moueix, Saint Emilion offers delicate and complex aromas of blueberries and black cherries. The palate grows into precise, well-integrated, balanced tannins.
