Malagouzia Adam Estate White
2024
Cultivation and Winemaking : The first vineyards of Malagouzia were planted in 2005 in carefully selected vineyards with shale soils and a slope of 10-15%. After the second series of plantings, which took place in 2010, today the total area of Malagouzia reaches 15 acres. Thanks to the methods of organic farming and low yields, which do not exceed 350 kg/acre, the result is the production of grapes of very good quality, which are collected by hand and go through strict sorting in the vineyard, but also upon arrival. at the winery. There, they will remain for a short time at a low temperature, in order to extract more aromas, while after fermentation the wine goes through a period of 2 months in contact with the wine lees. This process, combined with the quality potential of this noble Greek variety, offers a wine with an explosive aromatic character and rich texture.
Winemaker's note : Malagouzia is a wine with a golden color and green highlights. On the nose, the intense aromas of peach, grapefruit and citrus peel are enriched with herbal and botanical notes. In the mouth, juicy fruit aromas balance with the round body and are emphasized by the long and fragrant finish.
We can enjoy this aromatic wine on its own, before the start of a meal, or combine it with a very wide variety of dishes, such as salads, pasta with white sauces, grilled chicken, salmon or seafood flavored with garlic. It is served at a temperature of 10 oC and is best consumed fresh, although it can be stored for another 1-2 years.
