Varietal composition: 70% Xinomavro, 30% Negoska
Location: Viticultural Zone of Goumenissa
Vineyard: Own vineyards of approximately 60 acres, at an altitude of 250 m. Soil: Clay-sandy. Harvested in mid-October. Microclimate: Rainy winters, dry and hot summers
Vinification: Classic red vinification, 15-20 days extraction. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for 18 months
Organoleptic characteristics: Alcohol 13.5, % vol. Negoska, a grape with soft characteristics and a nice color, calms the nerves of Xinomavros and thus "Goumenissa" is a wine with soft tannins, richness, finesse and a long, particularly pleasant aftertaste. Goumenissa Aidarini is the absolutely typical expression of the quality characteristics of this small zone of Designation of Origin. The one-year aging of the wine in oak barrels gives it an exquisite bouquet with beautiful fruit, wood and smoke. It can be aged for 3-5 years.
