PGI Dodecanese (Kos)

Variety: Malagouzia

Vineyard: Average age of stumps 15 years. 70% of the raw material comes from clayey red soils, shale parent rock, while the remaining 30% from sandy limestone soils. The management and development of the ecosystem is based exclusively on the principles of Organic Agriculture (the estate is under certification process)

Features: Straw to slightly yellow color. The nose resembles a garden with apricots & peaches, on a background of toasted bread. Creamy texture and long aftertaste with every sip of this wine!

Maturation: 60% of the wine remains for 4 months in stainless steel tanks, while the remaining 40% matures for the same period in new 225 liter oak barrels. During this period "batonnage" is done periodically.

Possibility of aging: 5 years

Accompanied with: seafood dishes, shellfish, seafood, large fatty grilled fish, pasta with smoked eel or trout, lamb, eggnog, roe, aged cheeses

Served at 11-13˚C
