Type : Red Dry
Varietal composition : Pamidi (20%), Syrah (50%), Limnio (30%)
This wine was dedicated to the name "Abdiros", son of the god Hermes from Opounta of Locri. According to Greek mythology, the demigod Hercules built the city of Abdera in Thrace in memory of his friend, Abdera, when he was killed in battle with the wild horses of the king of Thrace, Diomedes. The label typically depicts the wild horse of Thrace. This is a special blend of two Greek (the oldest Greek variety, Limnio, meets the rare Pamidi) and a foreign variety (Syrah from France). Syrah gives primary aromas of red fruit (freshness) while Lemnio with a passage of barrel for 8-12 months gives peppery aromas as well as notes of cocoa and tobacco. The mouth is soft, with soft tannins and moderate acidity. A wine full of a pleasant finish.
