Monsignori vineyards are the expression they used on the island when talking about the oldest vineyard of the Silver Estate. It is the vineyard of the Diocese -the oldest of Santorini- and is cultivated by the Silver Estate for over 2 centuries. The Cuvée Monsignori Silver Estate is produced from vineyards that are over 200 years old. This is a Santorini that very strongly expresses the terroir of the island and gives more fully the characteristics of the variety of Assyrtiko with absolute respect to the tradition and through the special approach of the Silver Estate to the cultivation of the vineyard and to the vinification. The vines are plowed with mules and pruned carefully. There is a very strict selection of grapes during the harvest and even more strict selection of wine during winemaking. A complex wine with a strong personality. The label depicts the old hemp from 1800 where the Argyros family made wine before the Argyros Estate was founded as a trading company in 1903.
