WINE CATEGORY: White Sweet
GRAPE VARIETY: 100% Muscat
GRAPE ORIGINATION: Muses Valley, on the mountain of Helicon in Central Greece
INSPIRATION: The sweet melody from the poems of the 9 Muses that you hear, when you walk in the vineyards of the valley of the Muses.
CLIMATE: The climate is characterized by mild, wet winters and dry summers, with long periods of sunshine
VINIFICATION: Cold extraction for 12 hours at 8 ° C in an oxygen-free environment and then cold fermentation at a constant temperature at 18 ° C. Upon completion of the cold extraction and before the onset of alcoholic fermentation, agricultural alcohol of wine origin is added. This preserves all the sugars and the primary aromas of the grape itself.
WINE CHARACTERISTICS: Golden yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose we have mild aromas of honey and lemon as well as fresh fruits such as pear and apples. In the mouth we have elements such as honey, orange peel and caramel. Excellent structure with depth of flavors and acidity that refreshes the mouth. The finish is long lasting with the taste of honey dominating.
HARMONY: It is an ideal aperitif accompanied by roasted almonds, dried apricots, as well as fruits, sweets, orange cream, ice cream and sorbet.
VINEYARD: The soil is fertile, with mixed composition ranging from sandy loam to clay loam thus offering the possibility of producing wines of exquisite quality and rich aromas. The microclimate of the region is characterized by cold winters and warm summers, while a small river called Permisos contribute to the existence of a mild continental climate
VINEYARD SLOPE: The vineyards are located at an altitude between 450 and 550m and have a slope between 3 and 7%
VINE-GROWING: We cultivate our vines according to the principles of integrated agriculture, which ensures protection for the environment, the consumer and the people working in the fields.
Most of the varieties are planted in linear vineyards trained in double cordon royat. We plant all of our vines in densely planted rows, a technique which results in lower yields per vine and, therefore, higher quality grapes
