Varieties: 100% Merlot
Origin of grapes: From a selected vineyard (Alargino) in the location of Zygos, at an altitude of 320-350 meters. The vineyard is over 20 years old with particularly low yields per hectare (350 kg).
Vinification : Classic red vinification. This is followed, at controlled temperatures, by 12 months of aging in new French oak barrels of 228 lt and 12 months in the bottle, in our underground cellars.
Alcohol content: 14% Vol
Aging potential : Enjoy it now or age it in proper conservation conditions for at least 15 years from its release.
Tasting characteristics: Intense aromas of black cherries and berries, Kirs, cinnamon, cloves, violets and vanilla. During aging it acquires many tertiary aromas, among them, leather and tobacco. Intense in flavors. Baked fruit and licorice balance the berries. Full bodied soft tannins and long aftertaste. A refined but also expressive set. Over time, it also develops aromas such as mushrooms, plum and herbal elements.
Enjoy at 15-18ºC
