Type: Red, dry wine
Varieties: 100% Chardonnay
Origin of grapes: From a selected vineyard in the location of Zygos, at an altitude of 300-330 meters. The vines have an average age of 30 years and with particularly low yields per hectare (350kg).
Vinification: Under controlled conditions, fermentation takes place in French oak barrels of 228 lt, in which it matures for 8 months applying the bâtonnage technique. With this vinification, it is also possible to age the wine in the bottle for 12+ months.
Alcohol content: 14% Vol
Aging potential: This smoky Chardonnay is enjoyed for the next 5-10 years.
Tasting characteristics: Latvian aromas, tropical fruits, almond, butter, toasted bread and vanilla. Intense flavors with complexity. Buttery, the sense of wood and toast is evident, but these are mixed with tropical fruits and pear. Creamy texture, full body, lively acidity and long aftertaste. A wine with a lot of character.
