Varietal composition: Syrah – Merlot – Cabernet Sauvignon

Vinification: From selected vineyards, SEMELI adds to its range SPONDEE 2016, from Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties, which matured and aged for 12 months in the cool cellars of its winery.

Characteristics: Refined and complex, with the trilogy of wine varieties being aromatically expressed in an extremely tight manner, with no margin for the primacy of the primary aromas of each of them. The expectations that the complex, tight and refined nose creates for the mouth are completely satisfied, as the typicality of the wine's varieties unfolds, gradually throughout its range. Overtly generous and spicy, with round, fairly soft tannins, more than supported by the alcohol, this wine gives the palate a unified flavor ensemble.

It is combined: with dishes of the Greek urban or traditional cuisine, such as for example the meat pot with fresh tomato sauce, the moussaka and the pastitsio, while it will also match with more creative dishes of Greek and Italian cuisine.

Necessary decanting in a carafe, to bring out the bouquet of the wine and serving in a large glass, at 16°C.
