Red Dry Wine
Location: PGI Crete
Variety: Syrah (50%), Kotsifali (50%)
Description: Intense deep red color with ruby shades. Round mouth with a velvety feel, bouquet of red fruits with a buttery aftertaste and subtle gentle tannins with vanilla whispers.
Winemaking: Vintage: By hand from mid-September to early October. Traditional fermentation for 10-15 days in stainless steel winemakers. Stirring every 4 hours throughout the 24 hour period with the aim of gentle extraction. Malolactic fermentation. Maturation: 12 months in French oak 225 liters (50% new - 50% 2nd use)
Aging: an additional 12 months in the bottle before being placed on the market
Combines with red meats, grilled vegetables, cheeses and braised.
It ages for 10 years
Alcohol: 14.4%
