VARIETY: Vradiano
Origin of Grapes: Selected privately owned vineyard of a total area of 4 acres with the native variety Vradyanos. A forgotten variety of North Evia, Vradianos, is being revived thanks to the cultivation and winemaking efforts of the people of Vryniotis winery.
Vinification: Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts of the variety, in open tanks for the ultimate expression of the native Vradyanos variety. Aging in French oak barrels of 225 liters for 12 months and aging for 24 months in the bottle.
Aging Potential: Enjoy it now or age it in proper conservation conditions for at least 10 years from its release.
Characteristics: Intense ruby color. Complex aromas of cherry, sour cherry, cashew, almond and spices. Soft in the mouth with well-structured tannins and a long aftertaste
It accompanies grilled meats or cooked with rich sauces, peppered fillets and a variety of charcuterie. Goes great with baked lamb, roast wild boar and hard yellow cheeses.
